PHOTOGRAPHY BASICS : LIGHT & COMPOSITION
This is a beginner focused workshop where you will learn the basics of exposure, camera settings and composition so that you can start taking photographs more intentionally. Even if you are only taking family photographs these are memories you are creating for life and it is important for you to determine the exposure settings and composition quickly and accurately.

We will spend some time learning the theory & concepts and then practice on three setups that I have created that will put all the concepts to test!

Format & Schedule
CAMERAS, LENSES & MANUAL MODE

In this section you will learn how different types of cameras and lenses work and what are the main way to control the camera. You will also get introduced to the dreaded "manual" mode of your camera and will learn the concepts of how to use it
APERTURE & SHUTTER CONTROL PRACTICE

In this practical session you will complete the assignments that test your understanding of the aperture and shutter control of your camera.​
COMPOSITION

This section will introduce to you the concepts of composition and balance which is the key to good images. We will learn about different rules of composition and also about how and when to break them
COMPOSITION PRACTICE
3:00pm
Here you get to practice what you have learnt in theory and explore different composition techniques using three interesting setups
REVIEW & FEEDBACK
4:00pm
In this section, we will review the images taken through out the day, discuss feedback on the same and also share our key learnings from the day with each other.
